  Srikar Reddy

  MD, FAAFP

  Dr. Srikar Reddy’s passion for service led him to pursue a career in medicine. “Everyone likes to feel their best when they wake up and at the end of their day. I try to help them maximize their potential,” he says. He strives to actively listen to patients and prioritizes shared decision-making. He explains, “We all have ways we can improve our quality of life, and I learn from patients just as they learn from me.” He adds, “I learn from the wisdom of life experiences from the elderly, and I feel I have something to give back.” In his free time, Dr. Reddy enjoys exploring national parks with his family and supporting his children in pursuing their passions. Functional fitness is also important to him.

  Peter Cognetti

  MD, MBS

  Dr. Peter Cognetti was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare after seeing the positive impact his father had as a physician. “My favorite part about family medicine is the ability to form long-lasting relationships with my patients to help them live their lives to the fullest by keeping them healthy and out of the hospital,” he says. He is passionate about preventative care and loves “empowering patients to make their own medical decisions.” He considers it an honor to work with seniors. “It is my hope to live up to the challenge of providing high-quality healthcare to people who are most in need,” he says. In his free time, Dr. Cognetti enjoys hiking and fishing. He also likes playing tennis, basketball, and golf.

  Kendall Bell

  MD

  Dr. Kendall Bell, who was raised by his grandmother, explains that listening to his grandmother’s stories about being an operating room nurse sparked his interest in medicine. He is passionate about working with underserved populations to combat health disparities and says he is dedicated to teaching patients “what is going on with their body and empowering them to take ownership and control of their health.” His favorite part of his profession is getting to know patients and seeing their progress. He adds, “I want to be a part of why other seniors get to enjoy their golden years and have a longer time with their loved ones.” In his free time, Dr. Bell loves gardening, playing video games, and visting the park with his two kids.

  Poonam Patel

  MD

  For Dr. Poonam Patel, the most rewarding part of being a physician is watching her patients thrive. “I want my patients to enjoy their future years, and this is best done by having control of their medical problems, along with disease prevention,” she says. She finds it extremely rewarding to work with the senior population. “Mutual respect and open-mindedness” are key in establishing strong relationships. “My job is to provide hope and ease the process—I make sure my patients understand their medical problems, why they are on their medicines, and what needs to be done in order to take control of their health,” she says. In her free time, Dr. Patel can be found enjoying the outdoors. One of her goals is to visit all the national parks.
